Year 3 Dance Festival

The Year 3 Elephants had a real treat this week as they visited Western Primary School in Wallsend to take part in a dance festival.

This was the first competitive sporting event of the year and all adults involved commented that the class had been a credit to the school. The Elephants competed against classes from fellow Wallsend schools such as Jubilee Primary, Redesdale Primary, Carville Primary and Western Primary.

Each school completed well rehearsed street dances with lots of synchronised moves and energetic routines. The Year 3 Elephants finished in a closely fought third place.

A big thanks to the Year 3 Elephants for representing our school and showing off a little of what sport at Richardson Dees Primary has to offer.

Additionally, thank you to the coaches from the Amanda Nicole School of Dance who helped the class complete their routines and staff from the Burnside Business and Enterprise College who gave our students dance classes as part of the festival. Well done all!

Mr Bell.
